2GIG Technologies was formed in 2007 by former Honeywell Security veterans Lance Dean and Scott Simon, whose combined 40+ years’ experience in the industry prompted them to form a new company whose first, and later highly acclaimed, product was theGo!Control Panel, the first “self-contained all-in-one security and home-management system”. By mid-2010, 2GIG announced that over 60,000 Go!Control Panels had been installed in homes across North America. Just over a year later, they announced that number had climbed to over 500,000.
In early 2011 the Panel was named the Security Product of the Year by the Consumer Electronics Association. Since the introduction of their Go!Control Panel, 2GIG has manufactured several other security products, the majority of which we include in each of our security packages available on our website. Products range from motion detectors to smoke alarms, toaward-winning secondary touch screen keypads.
More recently, last month at Electronic Security Expo (ESX) 2GIG announced the newest version of their acclaimed Go!Control Panel, the Go! 2.0 Panel, which includes “enhanced energy management diagnostics and home automation tools, support of multiple HD cameras, and an on-board DVR for storing and playback of video feeds”. It was chosen by leaders of both ESX and Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) as the Best Overall Product and allowed 2GIG to win Top Honors for a second year in a row.
